Taxis Nice Airport

Taxis can be one of the more expensive ways of getting to your resort, often trains and buses are cheaper although will take longer. A private transfer will probably cost you around the same price as a taxi but has the benefits of the driver waiting for you in the arrivals hall of the airport, and you can also pre-book your return to the airport. You might also find that the cost of a taxi back and forth to the airport will cover the cost of a hire car for the week.
If you think that you have been overcharged by a taxi driver departing the Airport you can write to the airport to complain: Monsieur le Préfet des Alpes-Maritimes, Direction de la Réglementation et des Libertés Publiques, Bureau de la Circulation, 06286 Nice Cedex 3, FRANCE.
Include a copy of your receipt, and include the taxi number as it appears under the word Taxi on the roof. A driver found guilty of such an offence may in addition to possible legal sanctions, have his permit to park at the Airport cancelled. You are not guaranteed a refund over the overcharge.
